The International Golf Travel Writers Association (IGTWA) was established in 2000 in order to bring together the world's leading journalists specialising in writing quality golf travel articles. IGTWA's membership currently comprises 104 writers in 26 countries.

The IGTWA is administered by IAGTO - the global trade organisation of the golf tourism industry - which provides IGTWA members with excellent access to golf destinations, golf resorts, courses, hotels and other golf travel suppliers in addition to specialist golf publications worldwide.

About the launch of the IGTWA website, IGTWA President Dan Poppers says: "The objective of the development of this website is to provide all interested media with access to press releases from the world of golf travel, while furnishing our member journalists with important data and additional tools with which to perform the wonderful task of conveying the facts and spiritual qualities of golf destinations across the globe to an eagerly expectant and demanding golf travelling readership!"
